Mohsen Shekari December, 2022 “Mohsen Shekari was hanged on a Thursday morning after being found guilty by a Revolutionary Court of “moharebeh” (enmity against God), state media said. He was accused of being a “rioter” who blocked a main road in Tehran in September and wounded a member of a paramilitary force with a machete.” He was executed due to lack of media coverage and threats from the government to remain quiet in the promise of his release, but shockingly his parents woke up one day to his execution news. This performance/manifestation in Bologna was held in his memory.
